To be a writer is to be a poet, even if (get ready for an overused phrase) you didn’t know it. Poetry comes quickly to my mind, and I sometimes struggle to catch them on paper before they disappear. Although I have many in notebooks and even in my notes app, the ones on this website only represent my published poems. In undergrad at UNC Chapel Hill, I had the honor to learn from poet Gabrielle Calvocoressi, who is a great influence on my poetry.
